The Longstreet Camp recently installed a new 4 x 8 foot custom sign in the Johnson Cemetery in Palmetto.  This cemetery was almost unknown 8 or 9 years ago due to it being completely overgrown.  Our camp had several workdays under the leadership of Commander Doug Brown and the cemetery was reclaimed and made beautiful.  We have been keeping it fairly reputable but the original sign had become faded to the point it was of no use.  The new sign looks mighty good!  Thanks to Commander Ramey, Lt Commander Gibby and Adjutant Bulloch for braving the cold weather to install it.

For our December meeting, we will combine with the Newnan Guards Camp #715 to hear the featured speaker, H.K Edgerton.  H.K. will also be speaking at the Arnco - Sargent Elementary School on that day. Respectfully Submitted, Sparks Ramey

Sharpsburg Sharpshooters Camp #1729 meets the 2nd Monday, 7pm at Turin Masonic Lodge for a covered dish meal before the meeting. Guests are always welcome. Compatriot Hoyt Pruitt gave a very moving talk on Southern Pride for our October meeting, reminding us all why we belong to the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Our November meeting focused on Veterans and our speaker was MS Helen Denton who was a secretary for Gen Eisenhower and actually helped type the D-Day invasion plan.  For more info: John C Todd jtodd28@yahoo.com
