Members from Bainbridge Decatur Grays Cairo Ochloknee Rifles, Camilla Major John Pelham Camp, Moultrie John McNeil Camp hosted a headstone dedication for Pvt. Littlejohn Sasser of the 3rd Ga. in Grady County. The AH Stephens Camp Americus will be hosting their annual Captain Henry Wirz Memorial Service in Andersonville Village 9 November 2 P.M. The Lt. Colonel Thomas M. Nelson Camp Albany will be hosting the 9th Brigades Lee Jackson Dinner on 17 January. More info to follow. The 9th Brigade consists of 11 Camps from A.H. Stephens Camp Americus 78 meets the 2nd Tuesday each month at The American Legion highway 19. Lee Guards Camp Leesburg 1697 meets the 4th Thursday each month at Firestation 5 Philema road. Lt. Col. Decatur Grays Bainbridge 1689 meets the 1st Tuesday at Big Boy’s Tackle Ochlocknee Rifles Cairo 1807 meets the 3rd Monday each month Major John Pelham Camp Camilla 930 Meets 4th Tuesday Terry’s BBQ Highway 19 Lt. Lovett Allen Tully Colquitt 2071 meets the 1st Monday at the VFW post on Brinson Rd. Calhoun Rifles 1855 Edison meets the 4th Monday at the log cabin on Aldine Owens’s farm General Alfred Holt Colquitt “FireEaters” 1958 Newton, meets the 2nd Tuesday at the historic Baker County Courthouse. Brigadier General Philip Cook 704, Sasser meets the 2nd Thursday each month. Stewart/Webster Camp 1604 Weston meets the 3rd Tuesday at the Weston Firehouse. Camp HQ under construction. The annual Lee Birthday Parade and Memorial service will now be held in the Wartime Capitol of Milledgeville instead of Atlanta.
