Plans are being made in anticipation of the Robert E. Lee Birthday Celebration on Jan. 24, 2009 in Milledgeville, GA. This is commemorating the 202nd birthday of Gen. Lee. The event is hosted by the Georgia Division, 4th Brigade and the Old Capitol Camp #688.
The Tracy Camp has bid on hosting the 2012 National SCV Reunion. This would be great for the Division and especially to the Brigade. Plan to participate and give assistance to any need the Tracy Camp may have.

The Camp has made its bid for the 2012 National SCV Reunion. Details will be provided as things develop.

Camp #688 will be the host Camp for the Robert E. Lee Birthday Celebration on Jan. 24, 2009. This year's event will move from the Capitol in Atlanta to the Old Capitol in Milledgeville, as we prepare for the Sesquicentennial of the War for Southern Independence. A parade route will once again be implemented as part of the celebration.
A Lee-Jackson Ball is scheduled at 7:00 pm at the Milledgeville Country Club.

Nov. 8 the Camp honored Pvt. Council Darling Woodard of the 45th GA Infantry with a memorial service at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cochran.
Camp participated in the annual Cochran/Bleckley Co. Christmas parade on the 5th of December. Those in uniform marching then went to the local nursing home and spent time with those confined there.
Officers were elected for the new year.
Camp 1998 Honor Guard was in charge of opening ceremony at the 4th Brigade Lee/Jackson Banquet, Jan. 17, 2009. The Honor Guard will also lead the Robert E. Lee Birthday Ceremony in Milledgeville.
